Doctor Who Overrated.

It almost feels sacrilegious to say Doctor Who is overrated, like you are going to be visited, in the middle of the night, by the BBC Police just for thinking it. But I do.

You can't fault the production values, or anything like that, and I'm sure a fair few BBC programme budgets suffer to bring us thousands of Daleks on screen. It's just the plodding nature of the show, forever bogged down by its own self importance. Even with a story line about the Dalek asylum planet, the whole thing dragged. And I'm sure I wasn't the only one who was way ahead with that whole Oswin, or whatever her name was, thing. At times my finger hovers close to the fast forward button, as I wonder 'will I miss very much if I go to x6?' Plus I don't get this whole everyone fears the Doctor thing when all we are presented with is Matt Smith bumbling around like a faded college professor. These alien races are obviously remembering some other Doctor. Also, did I dream it, or will this series see the end of Amy and Rory? Let's hope so, I'm tiring of the whole, Karen Gillan, rabbit in the headlights school of acting.

Next weeks trailer had a ship full of dinosaurs, the heart just sinks. As a footnote,The Radio Times said we should stay alert for a major, top secret surprise just after the title sequence. I watched it through twice and found nothing remotely major, top secret, or surprising. What did I miss?
