The Stewart Conundrum - The last installment.

As you probably know, the Home and Away action spin off The Stewart Conundrum finished on Australian television last week. The critics were split as to whether it was ' fair dinkum' or ' a load of old tosh '. So as a service to our readers, here is how it all wound up.

On Celia's instruction, Alf goes to see his old Vietnam commander, and President Limbani's head of security, Mitchell 'Chips' Rafferty.

"As I live and breathe, Alf Stewart! " Chips smiles, on seeing Alf. " What brings you to this part of the world?"

Alf lies about just wanting to catch up. And Chips seems to swallow it. He insists on showing Alf around the new Government building.

Meanwhile Celia has sent her assistant Theo St Pahib to escort Sally to the airport so she can get to Summer Bay. But as they get to a secluded area, St Pahib pulls a gun on her.

"I'm afraid you won't be going anywhere Sally. I'll just tell Celia we run into some government troops and well"

Sally just looks at the gun and smiles.

"That's exactly what Celia thought you would do" Sally says waving her arms in the air.

At that moment, Celia and a group of heavily armed rebels come out of the undergrowth.

"I've known you were working for Limbani for some time" Celia says to a stunned St Pahib. "And, if I'm not mistaken, you have got in touch with your Australian contacts about the Bait Shop and the hidden papers"
"Yes and they will have them by now. So you've lost Celia!"
"There are no papers. "
Cut to the Bait Shop where Morag, Charlie, and Detective Robertson have apprehended the villains.

Back to a shocked St Pahib.
"So now we now President Limban is behind it all" Celia says.
"Ha! That's where you are wrong! Limbani is innocent it's all the work of my uncle Mitchell" St Pahib blurts, like they do in television shows when caught. "And he knows all about Alf"
Celia looks stunned.
Cut to Alf with Mitchell Rafferty. They are on the roof of the Government building.
"Now I've got a surprise for you Alf" Chips smiles pulling out a gun. "You are going to meet President Limbani"
Alf looks around and there is Limbani tied up.
"It will look like you killed him then, I'll kill you.Then I'll take all the diamonds "
"What happened to you Chips? You used to be a fair dinkum bloke. You saved my life in Vietnam"
"That was a mistake. You wandered into that building just as I was about t steal millions in Vietnamese bonds. Then everyone started shooting. I should have let you die. But now I'll rectify that mistake. "

With that, Alf charges into Chips and the pair of them tussle. Suddenly Alf falls, grabbing onto the ledge. Chips stands above him. Just as he is about to bring his foot down on Alf's hand. He is pushed off the building.
"Give me your hand! "
Alf is shocked as Mitchell Rafferty plummets down to his doom. Alf is pulled up by President Limbani.
"I take it Chips is fired" Alf says dusting himself off.
"Precisely"

Cut to the airport, where Alf is being given a VIP send off as he boards the plane with Sally. He waves goodbye to President Limbani and Celia.
"Where will you go next Mr. Stewart?" Sally asks as they settle down in first class.
"I think I'll go home Sal"
