Strictly - Broadway Week

It was Broadway week on Strictly, sometimes more Tooting Broadway than the genuine article but I have to admit the standard was much better. Alex, Harry, and even Rory upped their game but yet again Jason topped the leader board. A little unfair to have him dance, incorporating the theme of a musical he was in. A tiny tad of an advantage there, I think. Anyway he was good and to say the least, full of gusto. Jason isn't on his own when it comes to enthusiasm, fat Russel has it in ample abundance. Yet again he whizzed around the dance floor like a Care Bear on speed. That's the trick really, look like there is no place on Earth you would rather be.

That's where Dan came unstuck, he seemed to exude an 'I so don't want to be here' vibe. Was he pushed into the show by his Daybreak paymasters I wonder? I've always wanted to write that word, paymasters. There, I've done it again. Anyway, it's probably the reason he was voted off and not Nancy. I wonder if Nancy thinks it is her personality and not Anton's obvious popularity that's keeping her in the show. For the second series in a row Anton has used his 'celebrity' as comic stooge. Oh well, if the BBC gives you lemons...

I'd also like to praise Tess, she really does keep the show ticking over. Not hogging any of Bruce's limelight and basically ignoring the encroachments of Claudia. She keeps proceedings moving without any signs of ego, something you get the feeling Claudia couldn't do...and what on Earth was Claudia wearing last night? She looked like she had ransacked Morticia Addams wardrobe and come out looking like a Gothic sack of spuds. God knows what she will look like for the Halloween special.

So as we trundle towards Christmas, will anyone be able to stop Jason topping the leader board week in week out? Holly might give him a run for his money if they do Neighbours week, but other than that, I can't see it.
