Live TOWIE - A disaster of epic proportions.

Someone must have ordered a shambles because one turned up last night in the shape of Live TOWIE. Centred around Arg's fantastic variety show we were treated to some of the most forced, false and cringe worthy television seen this side of anything Louie Spence has appeared in. However it was given a little added credibility thanks to the attendance of Pat Sharp and a poor Colin Farrell lookalike.

I was a bit baffled as to why we were treated to of Chloe's dramatic reinterpretation of Barbie Girl or Charlie's stunning dance fusion Jo Lo. Do you really have to audition for next years panto season so early? Those were not the only dubious talents on show, we had Debbie and Carol doing a routine that was worthy of the best nutters Britain Has Talent can throw at us. But the highlight was surely Arg's Singing In The Rain. That whirring sound you heard was Gene Kelly spinning in his grave. The magnificent thing about Arg is he thinks he is great so it is a joy to watch the, world class, buffoon so lost in delusion. Amidst all this magnificent entertainment we had clunky story interludes that saved us and got in the way in equal measures. Plus we heard Kirk being prompted as to what he was about to talk about and Arg, Debbie and Lydia fluffing and forgetting their live lines. But as usual Joey Essex stole the show. I'm not sure if the producers pushed him too far, over this Sam proposal thing, or he is one of the greatest actors in the country; because his emotions over the whole affair seemed very real. And in TOWIE witnessing real, genuine emotion is a shock to the system.

Anyway we won't have long to wait to see how things progressed theEssexmas special is heading our way, that's if they aren't all in panto.
