The Valleys

As end of series cliff hangers go, The Valleys  will they won't they 'smash it' on their big night was a bit of a damp squib. Gladiators reject looking Jordan had given over his club Glam so our confederacy of dunces could 'smash it' and  show Cardiff, and the world, their awe inspiring talents. And as Jordan informed us; 'if they don't smash it they are going back to the Valleys'.

Taking time off from her perennial hitting of the Rose, Carley was front of house and she had to 'smash it' or she was back to the valleys. The Circus Maximus started with Aron kick boxing and Jenna doing ring girl duties. Aron had to 'smash it' or he was back to the Valleys, well he did and he also smashed his, suspiciously carefully selected looking opponent. Next up was the mass showing of talent as our bunch of bozos all paraded around in skimpy underwear. An amazing feat of dexterity you'll agree and something that must be up there with piloting an aircraft in sheer difficulty levels. But Nicole wasn't content with that, she had to show us she was more than an extra in Babylon Five, so she got her 'fuff' out. There's no substitute for talent, but they seemed to have found it. Sadly, just as Chidgey's hubris was about to engulf him, Nat turned up and he had to take her home, as he chose true love over the heady heights of success in Cardiff. It was a bit like Michael if Douglas had run off with Glenn Close at the end of Fatal Attraction. Well Chidgey missed Liam's deejay spot and Liam had to 'smash it' or he was back to the Valleys and Jordon told us if he doesn't smash it he's back to the Valleys. Well, wouldn't you know it he' smashed it'. That left Leeroy, a person who has showed us exactly what happens when self confidence and rampant delusion hit each other, to perform his skill, which is talking so fast that no one can understand what he is saying. Well, he certainly 'smashed it', I didn't get  word of it.

So after all this smashing, they all went back to the Valleys anyway. But they must await Jordan's call to see if he wants them back in Cardiff. I must admit it got to the stage where I was substituting L.A. for Cardiff and Simon Cowell for Jordan, just so I could add a little glamour to the whole sad affair. Let's hope we don't get another series so we can just remember our wayward heroes 'smashed it' and moved on.
