Noel Fielding : Beyond The Student Union Bar.

It must be hard for people who think Noel Fielding is funny. There they are all sitting around the Student Union bar, rolling off entire Mighty Boosh sketches and falling around in hysterics.
"He's so clever."
"And so brilliantly surreal."
"I saw him live and he's so even funnier in person."
Then the poor Noel Fielding fan leaves the cosy confines of University and goes into the big wide world. They tell their new work colleagues all about the comedy genius that is Noel Fielding.
"You haven't heard of him?" They say in amazement. "I'll lend you my complete box set of The Mighty Boosh and he has a new show out as well."
The work colleague politely nods and a few days later is given arm loads of Noel Fielding DVDS.
"So what did you think?" the Fielding fan asks as he is given back the DVDs a little too quickly.
"Is it on kids TV?" The colleague asks.
"No it's surreal."
"Only it was a bit like the Chuckle Brothers only not funny."
Suddenly the Noel Fielding fan realises they have to reevaluate, they go home and re watch the comedic genius, only to realise they have suddenly grown out of it. What seemed hilarious in their slum like digs and Student Union bar is suddenly as surreal and funny as an episode of Tipping Point.
Disillusioned, they just stare into the distance and start to wonder if Bastille and Imagine Dragons are as great as they thought.
