Sons of Anarchy - Please no more Belfast!

Sons of Anarchy is back and boy does it need a good season. I can't be the only person whose faith was rattled after the Naked Gun shenanigans of fake Belfast last time out. But the signs so far have been good.

The boys are out of jail and back to a changed Charming. And, thankfully, they seem to have some worthy adversaries in the shape of hard nosed Sheriff Eli Roosevelt, played by Rockmond Dunbar, who we all fondly remember as C Note in Prison Break. And Agent Lincoin Potter ( Ray McKinnon ) a man so brilliantly quirky that he could have his own series. Also both Jax and Clay are looking at exit strategies, which has forced SAMCRO to go into partnership with a Mexican Drug cartel. When you see Danny Trejo turn up you just know you are in for mayhem somewhere along the line. Episode two gave us something that could only happen in Sons of Anarchy, when Jax and Opie were held hostage by Russian gunrunners they were saved by the Drug Cartel. It's morally skewed and sort of poses a problem. OK we are supposed to be rooting for the Sons, but Sheriff Roosevelt and Agent Potter are coming across as tough, likable characters. So where do we stand? But these are good questions to be asking after the dreadful goings on in season 3.

But I do get very afraid every time the Irish are mentioned. Please don't let Gemma go back to Belfast to sort out this John Teller thing. Please no. Let's all just stay in Charming with the gunrunners, Mexican cartels, and rampant, gratuitous violence.
