I've just rushed out and got a new car because those two prime time Hobbits Ant and Dec played a prank. Yeah that advert where Pippin and Merry tell some actor to be stupid selling a car to a couple of actors. Well me and the misses both couldn't wait to get to the car dealership so we could be made fools of. Well no course we didn't. Why would anyone think sane people would. In real life if some idiot tried to sell you a car like that the Pratt would last fifteen seconds. But there's a lot of stuff these days where morons laugh in front of monitors, like those horrible coffee ads. Or worse those cretins in Impractical Jokers to laugh insanely in front of a monitor seems to be the order of the day. It's a mad off shoot of what seems like people watching people watching stuff. How did that come about? You end up with things like Gogglebox, where the people on the show are bigger stars than the people they watch. No wonder telly these days makes my blood boil.
